i currently have a Juwel rio 180 with the standard lights.

Juwel High Lite Light Unit 100cm for 2x45 Watt 895mm tubes
Juwel New Style High Lite Day, T5 length 895mm, 45 watts
Juwel New Style High Lite Nature, T5 length 895mm, 45 watts,

There due to be changed...

was wondering what's the best light i could get to fit the current light unit i have.. or should i just stick to the standard?

I'd stick with the originals mate that's plenty of light.

how long have you had the current tubes?

2nd hand tank so I'm unsure but the top layer of the light has gone... So can't even read the lable on it.

if they are T5 tubes (the thinner tubes) they last about 2-3 years, the T8's last about a year to 18 months. If you want to change them, have a look at the JBL tubes, they are cheaper than the Juwel ones.
