currently i have 2 x 30w and 1x 15 light one is a aqua glow (30w) the other is a power glow(30w) and the 15w one is a grow lux

would this be enough lighting? would i need to chage the tubes to differnt tubes

how do you work out the watts per gallon? is it uk or american gallons?

the tank is 61 uk gallons and 275 litre (i think) and the water depth is 16 1/2 inch (from stones to water hieght

thanks and sorry for all the questions :good:

The watts per gallon applies to US gallons so that gives you a little over a watt per gallon (73 US gallons), which is a low light tank. There are plants that will grow in that amount of light, just go for low light plants if you don’t want to upgrade your lighting.

mmmm what would be the most ideal wpg? as i can upgrade it within the next month (when i plan to have the plants in)

as sugestions as to what i should get (aswell as the one i have already?)

thanks

i have just looked at a tank on a website and it say the usefulkl litres are 210 (55 us gallons)

http://www.justbuyonline.co.uk/rena-aquali...0x50-o-233.html

would this mean that the wpg would go up slightly?

thanks
