I have a 15 gal tank and i was told a 150watt halide was too much, a 70w halide would be good, how long is ur tank?
if its 2ft, you could go with a 2ft luminaire, i went for one of those and its great.
I think i found a light. T-5 Nova Extreme T-5 Fixtures w/Lunar Lights 4-26 watt lights 96 watts altogether 6.4 wpg. Could i do Sps with that much lighting? heres a link.
brown easy to care for sps MIGHT be able to live and just possibly grow under that light if high up. Im not a fan of the novas since i find a lot of the light wasted since there isnt individual reflectors. I would go with a 70w or 150w light in that tank. If its primarily lps, 70w with lps corners/low areas. The more direct areas you can try to place harder to care for corals.
