Had problems initially which couldn't find a reason for but lost around 50 of the fry from week 2. Everything appears ok now and I have 90 left. Here are some of them

Look at the size difference  hard to believe they are from the same spawn!

They are now on frozen chopped bloodworms/artemia and granules, other than the littlest who I still put live bbs in for, so hopefully they won't become fussy eaters when they grow up and go to new homes :D

they are great love the female u should remove the big fry now and leave the small ones they will soon start growin

Thanks Clover :)

Yes the larger ones are coming out today!!

I have about 6 that are huge and then they all go down into various sizes from there. Funny its mostly the darker ones that are bigger :dunno:

Yeah, how old? I think my new... challenge (yees, challenge, thats the word :shifty: ) will be to get at least one from everyones spawns :shifty: .

Thanks Rollntider :)

Clover they were 6 weeks old yesterday.

OohFeeshy I like your plan :hyper:

7 Big ones are now moved and enjoying romping around their new tank and inspecting the cories :D Took me an hour to turf out the few platties and guppies that were keeping the tank cycled

Yees :shifty: If anyone enquires further, I need to, uh, quality control. We can't be having bettas that have, say, been living in nuclear waste infected waters and as a consequence glow in the dark, can we?

Gorgeous,Joby. They're going to turn out quite lovely

I love Daddy :*)

Ooooo, you already tell they're going to be stunning! But then again, how could they not be with a mother like that?

Thanks Wuv, Elise & Synirr :D

Can't believe the colour change on the mother  so am wondering if some of the fry will be like her and change later on, can't wait to find out!

Dad had a gorgeous yellow sibling sister who unfortunately died before I could spawn them so I hope maybe a yellow might pop out, but maybe its wishful thinking :/

aww they are so cute...the dad is just to die for...and the mom is so cut...I love when they have different colored lips...adds personality...haha like lipstick! I have a fish with red lips haha shes so funny lookin...

the babies are so cute... I cant wait till mine develop color and personalities hehe

aww thanks Lady, its so exciting to see what colours come out of these little critters :hyper:

Very hard work, but worth it in the end :D

They are growing nicely and now 9 weeks old. Have spotted something strange though, 4 light ones have one gold coloured eye and one black coloured eye  Cannot manage to catch a head on pic to prove its not just the light playing tricks one me so you'll have to take my word for it. Anyone else had fish with 2 different coloured eyes? Maybe its mum's marble genes coming into play

Anyhow, here are a couple of pics from today that were taken with flash so makes them more green than the blue I see.

They are starting to flare at eachother now but no serious tears or nips seen so far. I'm having to put off jarring them as I go on holiday for a week on Saturday so fingers crossed they still have fins left when I get back. Have put a ton of plants in there to try and break the line of sight and I have an automatic feeder set on both grow-out tanks that will feed them high protein granules that they have been getting used to for the last 2 weeks.

The adult bettas and my community tank of guppies etc will be fasting while I'm away as I have nobody that understands fish to come and feed them for me. Its going to be a very nervous week
