Have got a credit note (has to be spent on fish!) at my LFS, they have some nice looking Lamprologus Ornatipinnis shellies in stock, I'm thinking they would go well in my 29g (30x12x18). Whats a good number to start out with? The ones they have in stock are about 1.5-2 inches long but I understand the males can get up to 3+ inches.
I've kept two pairs of brevis in this tank before and they got on fine, but I think ornatipinnis have quite a different temperament to brevis- more like a chilled out occellatus?
I'm thinking 1 male with 3-4 females?
