Kuwa Stems

I've found some undyed kuwa stems in B&Q, they are just a dry twisty stick really. I'm assuming these will be fine to put in the aquarium. Could someone let me know if not please.
 
I can take a picture for you later, I've changed the gravel to sand today and the water is a little cloudy still.
 
You can see the stems in my sig picture Ryefish. I bought them from B&Q because they had been reduced (one or two stems had been broken) but they are a bit expensive, a cheaper option would be some beech or oak sticks if they are old and dry.
The stems are a bit bright at the moment but should look better after a few weeks when they should darken off.

I'm pretty happy with the way they look though :good:
