do kuhli loaches feed at night coz i havent seen my 2 babys eats since i got em 3 days ago

yeah thur mostly nocturnal but when in of a group of lets say 5 they come out in the day and are active and playful more oftin

Nix has it pegged there. They are not exactly schooling fish, more "friendly". The more of them you've got, the more they seem to come out and socialise with each other.

Hi n00dle,

What have you been feeding them? Try dropping an algae wafer or shrimp pellet in just before you turn out the tank light, then watch and see if they come out and eat. I bet they will!

I've had my kuhlies for over 6 months and I've NEVER seen them eat  ,but they obviously do :)

LOL That's funny, wuv. Mine are little piggies!! As soon as I drop any sort of sinking edibles in there, they're all over the place, chowing down.

well, they also had the clowns to compete with for food, I tried feeding extra and the clowns would eat it all, I'd try feeding at night while the clowns were tucked away sleeping but the "scout" clown would always come look and then wake up the rest and they'd have a midnight snack. hopefully they'll do better in the 42 :)

i hav never seen mine eat and i hardly ever see him in the day unless i catch him out and turn the lights on early. but he just keeps growing so he must eat. he lives in a sea shell i put in it only has one entrance, a tiny hole.
