I've had a pair of Kribs living happily in my tank for over 18 months now (Juwel 180).

They have spent plenty of time in their "cave" but have never laid eggs. They've been happy and healthy since I've had them until recently. In the last couple of weeks the female has been chasing the male for long periods, and the male has lost a lot of his colour and spends time hiding in a plant.

Any ideas what the problem may be? Have they just got fed up with each other or is the male just sick perhaps?

Thanks in advance

Hiya mate. The best thing to do would be to remove the female for a while, rescape the tank and let the male settle in then add her back in. If you have another tank then that would be ideal and leave her in there for a few days. If not then place her in a bucket for 2-3 hours. :good:
