Hi there.
I'm in desperate need of some advice please.

I currently have a 300 litre tropical tank.Well planted with some bogwood.
All water parameters are within limits and i carry out a water change every 10-14 days.
It is stocked with:

Zebra danios
Guppies
Platies
Corydoras
X2 dwarfGuarimes
neon tetras
black tetras
X4 koi Angel fish

The problem I'm having is:

Two of my koi angels are acting really strange.
About a week ago everything was fine they were swimming happily around the tank, then they seemed to go into hiding.
Not really eating normally.
Now and again they come out in the open but when they do one of them seems to swim (hover like) nose up in the water and seems to invite
The other two (healthy ones) to nibble away at its tail fin today i have notice chunks missing.
They are not thir nomal selfs and I dont know why.
Please I would appreciate any advive that anyone can give

Many thanks

Angelfish aren't livebearers. The only idea I have about the angel pointing up is that it is gasping for air from the surface and then they are taking chunks out of it. Quarantine it.

Sorry posted it in the wrong section.
The angel fish are doing it at the bottom of the tank and not near the top so i dont think its gasping for air

Hmm, sometimes fish do that when they are quite eggy. Does it look chunkier than the others?

First fill this out to help us help you, we need numbers on the test results please;

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior):

Volume and Frequency of water changes:

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank:

Tank inhabitants:

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):

Exposure to chemicals:

Digital photo (include if possible):

More than likely it is internal protizoans, a common ailment with cichlids, and especially angels & discus. Not eating & hiding towards the back of the tank are two signs, the third would be white stringy feces.

Get some metronidazole, and you will need a separate tank. Metro is commonly sold as Hex A Mit, there are a few other brands out there, Seachem sells a good product, Metroplex.

40mg/gallon, with daily water changes & redose. You want only angels in the tank, as you want to bring the temperature up to around 90F. Make sure there is plenty of aeration, warmer water holds less O2.

Don't feed for 3 days, on the fourth day sprinkle a little metro on some frozen brine shrimp & mix it in. Feed only this once daily.

Continue for 10-14 days.
