khuli loaches

As you may or may not know I have 5 baby khuli loaches. Anyway whilst cleaning out one of the filters, I found two of the little critters inside. They both seem ok but is there a way to prevent them getting in?

It is one of these and the blue nozzle can be angled to your preferred direction.

i had the same problem with my eel . he kept going down the air tube of my sponge filter, what i did was to cut a piece off a nylon stocking then
put it over the top and wrapped a rubber band around it, aye it workes,
if it's the nozzle they are getting down then maybe your wife will let you cut up a stocking , lol no this doe's work, and no i'm not been rude
