Keyhole Cichild

Hi I bought 3 small keyhole cichild on sunday and notice 1 has a slight pink nose, trying to take pic but camera died will try and get one later , on 1 side is slightly pinker than the other , any idears please what this can be ? he looks great apart from this and is eating well

Hi Cathy,
I've got a couple of Keyholes & one has a slight "pinkyness" towards it's mouth, always has in the 18 months to two years I've had them. The other changes his coloration depending on mood. As they've only been in your tank a few days, I wouldn't worry too much, still settling in. But If you can post a pic, will gladly have a look.

Hi thankyou for repling , I was watching him closley tonight when I fead them he swam to where one of the other keyholes was feeding and that keyhole put his mouth over the top of the one with the pink mouth so now thinking maybe this is what is causing him to have a pink mouth, he is feeding well and his poo is a normal colour.There are lots of hiding places and plants in my tank for him to go if needs be . Will get pic up tomorrow once camera is charged
