Hi,

I have a rio 125 and used the internal filter for about 6 months then removed it for an eheim external. I had no problems with the internal but its only a 125L tank, personally I'd remove it and use an external on a tank as big as 450L

i keep reading on some topics that people are running 2 filters can the fluval fx5 cope with 450 l tank on its own im unsure now lol.
im already running a 125 l tank and want to remove the fish and place them in the bigger tank ,im just worrying about which way to do things ie do i put my new filters on with the ones im running now ,and can i put my fish in to the bigger tank straight away after the fishless cycle

sorry if this sounds like stupid worries but dont want to cause my fish any problems
