Hi all as you some of you may know ive been thinking about this for a few weeks but ive been stuck on the substrate to use anyway i finally pick Unipac somoa sand
As it was the one i liked out of the only 2 stores in west yorkshire selling/in stock Unipac sub, anyway here is my 90% finished Juwel Rio 180

4.00PM
Firstly was to wash the new unipac sub
Then drain some water in to 4 buckets and one play box this gave me somewhere to put the plants and fish
Next the job of getting all the Argos play sand out and bagging it in to the new empty sub bags
A quick clean round where the sand level was and in with the new sub and some wood like so

I then washed all the BBA of my anubias plants and re attached them to the new wood ive being collecting over the last few weeks
I got some java fern from LFS how the blood hell do you attach that when theres no fooking roots
Replanted my crypts now to watch them melt

Lol. I don't know, I reckon its excellent. A massive shoal of cardinal tetras would compliment the dark moody atmosphere.

Looks quality, I need to get me some dark sand !!

Good shout on the cardinals and rummys as well think you have some already they also look great as they mature against a dark and planted background

Very nice.

Your choice of sand looks well against the wood and plants
