Juwel lighting fault.

I have a Juwel Rio 180 tank and the lighting unit has just packed up due to water getting inside it. I have had it for 2-3 years and I think the condensation has built up on the flaps. When they are lifted the water collects and I think it runs into the unit. As it is fitted with an electronic starter I think the circuit board has shorted. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yeah, I had exactly the same problem nearly two years ago.

I lifted it up, and you could hear the water sloshing around inside. I took it outside, and poured about a litre of water out.

Just took it back to where I bought it, and they replaced it without any quibble whatsoever, although it was just under a year old.

Not had the same problem with larger Juwel tanks. Yet.

Its a common problem with juwel tanks, ive had it happen on two juwel tanks i have owned. Juwel admit the design fault and should replace it free of charge.
