can you remove the internal filter housing from a juwel 450?it looks like its held by 4 suction cups or it may be glued i cant tell :/ i wanna get a external filter

I believe, like mine, that they are stuck on with silicon..

Other people have used a rasor blade or similar to remove it from the glass..

Cheers

i cant see how you could do it with a razor blade :/ the housing is flush with the glass so you cant get to it

Why not leave it and run the external beside it? The juwel filter system is one of the best going for an internal. The only thing that lets it down is the pump as it doesnt circulate the water very well, but with the external as well then you have a great filtration system.

I removed mine using a long sharp knife. It was something I was worried about before I'd done it, but it was really simple.

Just use a long sharp knife. Mine was only attatched at the top, and adding an external made the room silent!
