Chops now has a new home, just finished clearing up. Have taken some pics but will post tomorrow if I can get out of bed as my back is agony!!

All went well till I had to catch Chops he swam into the net so sweet then dived for the bottom ripping the net out of my hand and proceeded to hurtle round the tank dragging the net with him. *&**&&^%%$&^^ Fish!

you should have known better and videoed it

that would have been awsome!

I can agree on the bad back that fish can give you. I had a bad back after spending hours changing my tank to sand and giving the tank a good clean. The pain we go through for our fish

I did have the camera, when Chops did one on me but didnt think to take a pic of him  . Here are the pics of last nights mission. It would have been easier if our friend had turned up to help!

Buckets etc at the ready!

Once the tank behind was fairly empty the fun began, because our friend didnt turn up we had to go to plan B. First the juwel tank was put on the sofa (empty) moved the cabinets together and the tank, still with fish in was slid slowly onto the cabinet in front. Then inched away from the other cabinet. (Oh and the little budgie cage was moved into the hallway)

The Juwel tank was then put onto the empty stand and half filled with the saved water and I then put all the decor back and heater.

Had a brew while the water warmed back up. and added some warm water. Then started moving the fish.

Scooped up the gravel with the net giving it a swish in the old tank water to give it a clean and put it into the new tank.

You will have to excuse the angle of the pics, the other tank is still in front of it.

still looking ok now star
you have one very happy chops
you could say jumping with joy
pardon the pun

Chops is not a happy fishy!. First problem is because the other tank is in front of his it is mirroring his tank, which means he can see another oscar and he is going nuts attacking the glass. Second he almost missed breakfast because there is no noise now as I lift the lid and throw food in, He was still mooching round the bottom and missed my fingers completely.

you'll have to sound a gong
for breakfast dinner and tea
mind you its still not like him
must be the distraction of him
seeing his reflection in the other tank
i wonder if he will get up to as much mischief
in this tank as he did in last one did he get his
new thermmommy thing

Well hopefully now he wont keep smacking himself on the head so much! He is going to have to wait for his thermommy he has just had a new tank!!!
