In the dead of winter I threw some Java Moss into my 1950's style 2 gallon Metaframe tank OUTDOORS in shade. Today with 80% of the water evaporated I took a look..The moss was green and dense. No Co2 other than from mother earth. It's been growing in temps from the high 30's to the 70's.
You could grow it ponds- in shade. :vote: :teacher:

We had it in outdoor ponds in full sun and in full shade. The temperature dropped to 2-3C in winter and got to over 30C in summer. It's a nice plant.

It's never been told before..but these"tropical" mosses can take much less than a tropical climate. Worth a try this summer are other mosses....

Wow... Very intriguing. Nice to know
