One JD on its own? If so I'd say a 4 foot of 250 litres (55gallon) would be plenty

If its a female, not smaller than 40g. Males need 55g at least. more If you want tankmates. Others may disagree, but if you want a m/f pair, a 55g is good. Don't recommend a pair if you dont want to breed them though. They will spawn whether you want them to or not if you have a male and female.
