Nope. If they don’t get on there’s no way of changing their mind. It’s only natural for a dominant male to chase other males away.

Please just don't leave that one in the basket for to long. He will be getting stressed, you need to find him a new home or maybe buy another tank for him.

I already have 4 tanks ,, no room for another ,, I thought him better in basket then being attacked ,, I tried switching them round ,, but other one just jumps out ,, I will try find him a new home xx

Is it possible to reconfigure one of your other tanks. Cichlids are always a problem as their moods can change in a flash.

Not really I have goldfish ,, tropical (small fish like guppies swordtails and mollies ,, the cichild tank and I have a tank full of baby goldfish st the mo ,, so he cant go in any of them tanks the baby goldfish are all different sizes some are big enough to put with the big ones but some are still tiny ,, me heads done in with fish lol xx

How about put the baby goldfish with the guppies and swordtails and the other goldfish and free up that tank for the JD

Wont the water be to warm for them ?.. this tank is only small ,, see pic xx

That will be better than the basket for the JD. Put some gravel in it and a couple of rocks. The young goldfish will be fine with the live bearers.

That’s a temporary measure at best. The tank is far too small for goldfish, and at tropical temperatures it’s too warm, and they may even be crowded from the start, what with the much lower oxygen carrying capacity of warm water.

That's just a tank for babys I have set up ,, wasnt ever expecting baby goldfish ,, just found them floating round tank one day lol ,, I have some baby tropical fish in the tropical tank in a net ,, maybe I could put the smaller ones in with them and the big ones in the main goldfish tank ,, I know that tank is to small for a jd ,, but would be better then the basket,, I just dont know what to do lol 😪🤔

Right sm gonna post pics of all tanks and see what you guys think ....

I think long term it may be best to re home the JD's. None of your tanks are really large enough for them. A pair of JD's really need around 200 liters of water.

The bigger tank holds 220 litres , maybe pics are deceiving ,,, I bought these on the knowledge they where your friendly tankmate ,, bought this tank for them ,, now u I've grown attached ,, regularly feed them worms,, they love it !
