It's A Whole New World!

Just to say hi.

Having never before had the opportunity to keep fish, today I took the plunge and bought a small 45L tank etc. Having read up on it (on here!) I am about to start a fishless cycle - and get to the shop to pick up a test kit tomorrow!

I am so looking forward this new adventure in my new life .... and feeling very fortunate to have lots of advice to read through and a whole bunch of experts to ask silly questions of.

Bye for now, but I'm sure I'll be back!!

good luck with the fishless cycle, its faster then using fish and you can stock pretty fast once your done,

Incidentally my 'lifebegins' name refers to my four week old permanent separation from my husband of 24 years , leaving my little boy of 9 years behind - temporarily - whilst I seek shared residence. We always wanted a fish tank - husband always said no ... !!

So apart from getting the ammonia, a plant or two and the test kit tomorow I'm happily researching what I can put in my lovely new tank. I've narrowed down my parameters but will post in the right place, so any other newbies see the replies.

Can't wait for my boy to find out I'm doing this!!
