So when I was recently at the petstore I go to in order to buy bloodworms, I decided to look at the plants that they had and I noticed something. So, the plants are contained in plastic tubes that have, boldly, '-STORE NAME- AQUATIC PLANT'. When I saw a plant that sort of resembled one of the plants I'd seen ID'd as semi-aquatic on this forum, I soon began to notice that some of the plants had the subtitle of 'semi-aquatic' in small text. I had bought one of those plants a few weeks earlier, and couldn't find the plant at the store to look at the container.

So, is this aquatic? I fear it isn't aquatic, as it isn't doing too well.

The fact you got a ton of it like that I would easily say no.

One of the biggest giveaways are shinny leaves, which suggests the leaves are grown out of water. But some aquatic plants will melt and just regrow underwater.

Looks like an emmersed sword that's needing to change to immersed form.

Thank you both! That was a fast reply!

How do I go about doing that?

Cut the leaves off as they go brown, new ones should grow back.

Will do! Thank you very much.

It is a type of sword. Just as Dr Rob suggests, make sure you remove the brown leaves right away (letting them "melt" will result in increased ammonia) and it should adjust over time.
