I have been trying to grow java moss in my tank for about a year now.... I have have tryied 4 times.
I put the moss in my tank attached it and went brown and died ( stunk )
I did that 3 times....

I also have changed my tubes to a power glow and a aqura glow ( 2xs 30 wat )

The moss is at the highest point of the tank ..

I think its ether growing or the fish are pulling it out...

I would attatch it with cotton and just let it be out in the open which would give it maximum light and maximum access to the water column and nutrients.

Agree with the above. It will grown better just tied to the object in the tank. It's not going to grow great with the way you have it attached.

Java moss doesn’t need a lot of light to grow. I have it growing every wear and I pull it out of my filters and it’s just as green as the other stuff in the tank. Good plant for cover but it does grow fast… I got a hand full 5 months ago and now I have some in 5 different tanks. A little plant food is all you well really need to keep it alive.
