Is My Betta Sick?

Just done a water change on my sons betta and noticed that it is quiet swollen behind its gills where its front fins are. It has lost its colour there aswell its quiet whitey grey does anyone know what this is.

Is it a male or female? It might just be over fed or constipated. I would fast it for a couple of days to see if the swelling goes down.

Try and see if you can see any parasites, plus have the gills got alot of mucas on them, any sgins of flicking and rubbing and laboured breathing.

no none of them signs i have fed him everyday it had some blood worm today maybe its over fed ill fast it for a couple of days.
