well, here is my situation. My parents have a 75 gallon tank, that used to house cichlids (not sure of the types, but i'll attach a picture later). The problem is they wanted to get new fish so when I one of the last two died, they told me to put the last remaining one in my 15 gallon tank.

While i know the tank is too small for him, I don't have much choice.

So my question, will he be fine without any other fish in the tank? He seems kinda lonely but when there were 2 left in the big tank, they never left their hiding place. which were on opposite sides of the tank.

I tried to make my tank as comfortable for him as possible.

So any suggestions? Do i need to get another fish to keep him company? Also picking up a bigger tank isn't really something I want to do.

What did you guys do with your very last fish in your tank, when the rest died off?

He'll do fine alone, but he certainly won't be active the way he'd be with company. Around here and LFS will take him back and give store credit.

He should be fine......just doing what fish of that species do. Rock fish. As long as he still eats and such, you will be fine.....as for the question about "what do you do with your last fish...." I have never had that come up. :p
