There is another invasive species causing problems in Florida. It’s a fish, with a suit of armor, known as Plecostomus, or “Pleco” or the Armored Catfish.

Sad. This is yet one more example of how certain individuals in this hobby--people who frankly should not be in the hobby--are going to bring about the end of fish keeping. The animal rights activists couldn't get better encouragement or support if they tried, than by just using the all-too-common practices of certain ignorant people in this hobby.

We need to find a market for those things, then hunt them to extinction in their introduced ranges. I hear the wild ones are decent eating.

They seem to be quite tasty but I doubt if they will be on the Christmass-menu soon.
