hi, ive just bought i 36" tank i was wondering what peoples opinions are on the interpet pf3 filter as im considering buying it, cheers

No way, The Interpet filters are horribly built and hard to access!

I would look at the Eheim 2212:

or even a small external filter such as the 2213:
