Interesting Behavior

I've observed my male, honey gourami spitting water at little bits of thigs stuck on the glass just above the water line. I know there are some species of fish where this kind of thing is pretty common. Is it normal behavior for a honey gourami?

yes this is somtimes seen in breeding season
