Have you tried Wicks? They seem to stock most building materials,if you cant find it there you could use the stuff they use to insulate the ceilings in concrete buildings (the name escapes me right now but its a 2" thick foam material with a foil covering that comes in 24"x24" squares) this should be available from any good builders merchants.

You could also used newspaper if you can get enough of it. Just save the page 3 girls and send them to me LOL
I miss england :(

Go to a good Builders merchants and you will find exactly what youare looking for, usually about £10 a sheet.
I have just insulated the cavity of my new fish house with packing peanuts, £12.50 for a 15 cubic feet bag, goes a long way.

Hi Fishtank.

When I constructed my fish house (like you, previously a garage) I got my polystyrene from a builders merchants. I went for a double layer (4" thick) on the walls, but could only fit a single layer for the ceiling. I used the smaller sheets (42"x18"), as they are easier to handle. I ended up spenging about £150 pound on polystyrene. I hate to think what heating bill would have been if I had not spent so mutch.
