Immune To The Sting

hey, ive heard that corals of the same family will not sting eachother so i was wondering what i could put close to my pearl bubble coral? (would torch and frogspwan work?)

Hmmm unlikely. Bubble corals have imensly powerful stings and can wipe out anything around it if they decide to get agressive. You might be ok as its only when the coral send out its sweepers that the trouble can occur. I have yet to see my bubble coral show its sweepers and its very well behaved, in fact it got bdly damaged recently when a majano got close enough to sting it (bubbles are supposed to have a more powerful sting than majano). HOwever i have also seenbubbles that stringently defend their patch and will wipe out anything and everything that gets within striking distance.

Is there no other room in your tank to place a new coral?

The frogspawn and torch won't sting each other, however they will both stng the bubble coral and it will sting back.

There is some room in my tank its just that the bubble takes up almost all the room on the top of my LR so i wanted to see if i could put something else close to it, to fill the rest of the space, i guess i'll just keep on letting my bubble grow (i bought it when it was 4 inches wide now its at least seven) amazing grower and beautiful
