I'm Stumped

I have two male grourmis, three corys three mollies . They all seem healthy and active, had them quite a while, about a year. My problem is that I can't seem to get a pleco to live in my tank( on third one now and I think he's about to die) 20 gal tank water test out fine do water changes(5 gal) every two weeks and vacuum. I just can't figure out why the pleco's don't make it when they are such a hardy fish. any help appreciated. Thanks......John

id for starters change to doing water change every week what are the water stats fine can mean anything

as above, and have you been feeding the plecos?
you might have just been unlucky and bought unhealthy fish.
