Hi I’m Makayla, I’ve been keeping aquariums for just over 18 months. I have three tanks , a 20 gallon with ember tetras, Corydoras and a honey gourami, and a male and a female betta each in their own tanks. I also have a rescue pit bull, a crested gecko and a dwarf hamster. I do art, cook, and crochet. I’m a newlywed. I’m really bad at introductions so here’s my fish. My female betta I brought home from my local Petco and a “ baby betta” when she was hardly half an inch long. I got her because most of the babies there end up dying in their cups so I wanted to give one a chance.

You need a picture on the back of the tank to make the fish feel more secure. And some floating plants would help too. Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides/ cornuta) is a great floating plant to try. It can grow on the surface or in the substrate.

You have a beautiful betta there! I suggest getting some more floating plants, and maybe a moss ball or 2. That will really spice up your tank even more!
