As the topic says xD

I'm not using co2 and my current readings are
ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate >10

Think the plants are already eating most of the nitrate in the aquarium.

Thanks

Does it matter I have 26 fish atm.. and up to 40 in the near future?

the TNC stuff says to only be used in lightly populated aquariums.

thanks =]]

I'm currently dosing TPN+ and Flourish Excel. All the plants in the tank are starting to really benefit from it. It's costly though, especially for a 180 like yours. Making your own will be alot cheaper mate. I'm Dosing 1.75mls of TPN+ and 0.75mls of excel a day on a 35 litre tank. :blink:

The Easy Carbo will only act as a CO2 substitute.
You could probably go with the dosing instructions on the Complete if you're not adding CO2.
The Complete is badly worded - it means if there's few fish you should use it to add more nitrates etc
)

I also have 6 oto's who's diet is mainly Algae..

the easy carbo claims algae wont be able to compete because of plant growth.. is this true?

I'm already putting fruit and veg in as extra food for them, and planning on putting stones covered in algae, but I'd rather they didn't have to rely on me for that.
