[identify] What Species Is This Prawn/shrimp?

Is this a normal prawn?
I would like to know the prawn species if possible.

the size from head to tail is about an inch long.

definatly one of the Macrobrachium species
possibly M.luzifugem or M.pilimanus.

my location : I'm in Malaysia, shrimp origin of the shrimp is unknown since the lfs dont know any info of it.

I would say that it is a Macrobrachium luzifugem Sri Lanka Long arm Shrimp

hmm but the colour sure looks diffrent

unfortunalty you can't go by colour.
most shrimp have the ability to blend in
with their backgrounds, making harder for predators to find them.

whatever it is, they will catch any fish that gets too close
and will eat them alive, starting with fins and eyes.
they are not suited to most community set ups for this reason.
