Ideas On Catching A Cae

ive found a new home for my cae,
im sure their was a thread a while back about a tip on catching them,as they are very fast swimmers,
any tips would be great ive got 24hrs to catch him .

Remove most hiding places and leave a large object near a corner, place one net over the gap at one side and persuade the CAE behind the rock/object with the other net, it should swim straight into the waiting net

we used a bottle fish trap - im no use at doing links so if you do a google search you'll find a good diagram ( try looking at the site www.cichlid-forum, theres a good one there.) we used an empty cool drink bottle just put the end of the bottle in & then its easy to reset the trap.
word of warning you need to check the trap regularly as every fish in your tank will probably end up in there at some time & you dont want a fish stuck in the trap with the cae as it may get hurt. too us a couple of days but we got ours in the end.
