hi first post here,

basically i had a spare 10 gal tank and fancied a species tank, i went to the LFS and saw a small brown crayfish probably about 1inch in a tank with cichlids having a hard time i felt sorry for him so impulse bought him.
however i do not know what species it is at all and i have recently discovered only one species is legal in the UK.

struggling to upload a image as i am new here put this is the crayfish i have on the link below, thanks in advance to any responses

first and most important, Report this LFS to Defra.
these vile creatures carry Crayfish plague, thats quite apart from being as UNNATURAL, as anything found in the hobby. the WATER, FROM WATER CHANGES, IS A BIO HAZARD
these cray are illegal, both to keep, and sell in the UK. (as you state.)
Only Cherx Quad (BLUE LOBSTER) can be kept here. (for most keepers)

Again please report the LFS. its vital to save, what remains of, our native White claw cray. which is in enough trouble dealing with the natural, though plague carrying Red Signal.
just to add, please destroy the cray, dont care how, just kill the thing!
