Not sure where to put this as it could just be a general tank question.
In my sons shrimp tank I have noticed a whole load of little tiny worms, they only appear when I stir up the substrate of small pebbles. They are white and are only about 3-4mm in length and pencil point wide. They move in a caterpillar way and also in a snail way (oozing).
We have had quite a lot of snails, pond and Ramshorn (I think), in their after we put in new plants a couple of months back.
Questions:
1. Does anyone think they know what they could be?
2. Are they something that can harm the shrimp?
3. If not, are they something that will harm a fish?
4. If not harmful to fish, can I put in a fish that will eat them?
5. If they are harmful to fish how can I get rid of them?
If I have put this in the wrong forum, then I apologise and could a mod move it. If not, I thank you for any help that may be forthcoming.
Cheers
