Can ich be spread through water?
For example, I have a tank with fish infected with ich. Now if I take a cup of water from that tank, and put it in another fish tank, would the fish in the other fish tank get infected too?

Part of the Ich life cycle involve free swimming trophonts (I think that is the name for that stage) and so yes, there is the possibility of cross contamination.

Ich cannot survive drying out, so if you have to use implements on two tanks and one has ich then drying out should stop any spread.
