I have had my GSP for almost a month, he's been doing awesome. He is in slightly brackish water. I noticed the ich a little while after i had gotten some ghost shrimp for him to hunt and munch on.. (that's where i think the ich came from because shortly after one shrimp died).
I checked PH and ammonia levels, everything is good. As soon as i noticed the ich i added aquarium salt and raised the temp...as that didnt help any i went to buy ich medicine from my LPS. I have been using the medicine for about a week now with no success. I have read that the medicine can't kill the ich ON the fish, but when the cysts fall off it will take care of it. but he has had the spots for a long time and they are gradually getting larger...
How long does it usually take for the cysts/white spots to fall off? Any advice? I have raised the temp all the way to 86.
He is eating well and acting perfectly normal, I just dont want the ich to get any worse on my poor little guy! Plus i have another larger tank set up for him with another puffer but I dont want to move him until he is clear from the ich
