Are there any plecs that are suitable for my 10 gallon tank. I really want one, but if I don't have the space I'll have to go without. I am moving the cories into the other tank when I'm done treating the fry.
If not, then are clown loaches too big?

Clown loaches are difinatly too big, you could probably get away with putting an ancistrus (bristlenose) in there depending on what else is in the tank, they get to about 4-5"

i would go for a clown plec. cheap colourful and only grow to a maximum of 5-6 inches.

true clowns plec are that but also they should be in groups!

check out planet catfish at www.planetcatfish.com
you can look up all sorts of different plecs and see pictures, what size they get, what they eat, habitat, etc. plus, they list them either by common name or scientific so if you see one at the lfs you love and they give one or the other, you'll be able to look it up easier.

I made a mistake, its actually a 15g tank, I miscalculated it before
How big does the tank need to be for clown loaches, are any of the above mentioned plecs aggressive to what I already have (see my sig)?

clown plecs can be aggressive but only to other plecs. mine has killed any other plec. in the tank even another clown plec.

I've got two teeny clown loaches, but am planning on a bigger tank in the near future, so by the time they've grown, they will be in a bigger home. The only suitable plec was £25, which I can't really afford

As stix said, Ancistrus (Bristlenose/dwarf pleco) would be suitable, they're fairly cheap and great algae eaters, wouldn't be without mine.

Depending on what else is in the tank you could also consider Otoinclus they need to be kept in groups though.
