I just got three one-inch long discus a week ago. They seem to be doing really well, but they're not voracious eaters at all. When I put the frozen beefheart in the tank they can never find it, so I have to wave it in front of their face - even then, they usually "sniff" it and nibble a bit only. I don't get any more of an enthusiastic reaction with bloodworms or flake food. The temperature is 85 degrees, medium hardness, pH 6.5, ammonia/nitrite zero, nitrates around 20ppm at the moment but I'm just about to do a water change.

What's the tank size? Normally fish don't eat well if they don't have enough buddies. If circumstances permit, I would up the number to 5+

Yea, I agree with tank size. Discus need fairly large tanks and insanely clean water. Most people use RO water with Discus to get prefect readings.

quit feeding beef heart, they are too small for it....use a GOOD QUALITY flake or crisp food (tiny pellets)

give them more time to get settled into their new surroundings....stop feeding entirely for 2-3 days, let them relax

lower temp to 82

what is the tank like? heavily planted? take a pic if possible
