Set up is 54l, cycled, planted, 9 cardinal tetras (I added three yesterday) and 5 gourami. The tank has been ace, no fluctuations of any sorts. The fish are fed flakes and the occasional sprinkle of blood worms. Three of my cardinals are noticeably rounded, they aren't pregnant cos they aren't live bearers, are they constipated? I dread to think that they swallowed the blood worms whole....

there egg scatters and i would
say yes they could if they
were full of eggs

Pictures would be good :good: But as the others said it is most likely there full off eggs.

Its worth while mentioning that a lot of people including myself feed our fish frozen garden peas from time to time As I understand, it helps the digestive system clear things out :X

There are a lot of ways of preparing them the way I was told was to take some peas put them in a dish of water put them in the micro wave for about 40 seconds then drain and leave for a couple of minutes then pop the peas out of there shells discard the shells, take the remaining pea and mash it up real thorough then make them into little balls leave for a few minutes then pop them in the tank sparingly (they do make a bit off mess).

Regards onebto.

Have established that they are GREEDY, they look fine today - I think they literally just gobble everything down to the point where three look fit to burst and the rest bob around plaintively looking for more!
