I bought it at my LFS last week. I think it might be non-aquatic because it stands up on it's own (which I heard was a sign) and also it has no roots atall(even after a few days). I think it's just been cut off of a bigger plant.

If it is aquatic can anyone tell me what it is?

Oh swear words, I knew it! It looks so nice too! :(

Pain aint it, I hated it when I first got into the plant keeping side of this as I bought one, it melted and caused huge ammonia spike which caused loads of algae lol.

Lol it's a learning curve. Mind you all plants seem to die in my tank anyway so mayve I'll be no worse off :fun:

Put it in a pot on your windowsill :)

I'm now so suspicious that if I buy a plant, even when I think it is aquatic, I spend ages second guessing myself and resisting the urge to pull it out of the tank

Lol I know, a good rule for me is most aquatic plants will droop when out of water, some wont but most will so I keep that in mind when buying if I don't reconise it. :)

Thanks! It's got a few melting leaves. Normal?

recently added? If so then yes, its normal for leaves to melt a bit as they adapt to new surroundings.
