I might be dealing with dropsy

My Betta is looking very sick, pale and lathergic. He is breathing very heavily which is awful to watch. His belly does look swollen and I think his scales look slightly raised. I feel awful, he was my first fish. Right now he is in a bowl alone with melafix and salt.

Sorry to hear about your betta

I'm having this problem too with one of my females. Why not pop over onto the Betta section and take a look in there at some of the suggestions I've had

You could also do a search within this section and the Betta section for Dropsy and see what comes up
