I'm bloddy annoyed with myself as I've killed my L200 and 4 danios (2 giant 2 bengal)

here is how...
The day started off with a mind to move my 82g tank from one side of the room to the other.
I filled up an 80ltr dustbin with tank water, put in a heater, an airstone and a sponge filter.
plugged it all in via an extension lead.
I set about draining the tank and removing the decor etc.
when the water was down to 3" I started to catch the fish and put them in the dustbin.
So far so good.

then I continued with the move etc, but somehow (and unknowingly) unplugged the extension running the bin. I didn't realise this until it was time to move the stock back to the tank, around 4 hrs later (had to wait for a lift with the tank as it is too heavy and awkward for one person).

I discovered the dead danios at the top of the bin and the rest of the danios and rasboras were all at the top gasping. I was almost in tears and extreamly annoyed at myself.
It wasn't untill I'd got to the bottom of the bin that I found my L200.

The reason I'm piosting this is to remind you all of how a simple mistake can lead to tradegy.
I also hope that this will save someone else form making the same mistake that I did.

Thanks for reading this, it has helped me a little just by writing it.

Thats really sad and just goes to show that even the best of us sometimes makes mistakes resulting in tragedy. So sorry for your loss. :(

Thanks for all the condolenses, I appreciate it very much

Aww. Really sorry to hear that Wolfy. Hope that all the other fish will settle in like they did before though.

Really sorry to hear this Wolf, but I don't understand why they died? Pumps fish can live without and well its a bit warmer these days so it wont have gotten terribly cold. O was it the filter stopping and/or the stress of it all from being in there four hours?

too many fish in 80ltrs of water for too long killed them :/.
if you check my profile for my 82g you'll see how many fish went in the tempory set up.
I had planned on them only being in there for two hours tops, but
fate had other ideas :(

awwww i'm sorry to hear that, well gutting aint it.

don't blame yourself tho, these things happen.

got me all concerned now tho, i'm doing major fish tank re-arranging next weekend, i'm bricking it I'm gonna loose something
