and as i just upped my lighting to 2 wpg and started my diy co2 it was nicely timed....

the book has some amazing pictures in it and the storys amano tells are quite cool too

I've just read her thread. You are lucky! I can recommend the other two in the series and also "Aquatic Plant Paradise". The aquascapes are regarded as "out dated" now by some but I will never forget my reaction when I first lay my eyes on those wonderful photos. Amano changed my whole perception of the planted aquarium.

And when you get bored of his books you can by the English translated Aqua Journals. Even better aquascapes. May I also recommend the ADA catalogue for some more awesome photos of Amano's work.
