There's nothing you really can do...once they mated, they are going to have babies. And I can guarantee she will have at least 5 batches, just from this one mating. The best thing to do is seperate them, and then try to seperate them earlier in the next batches.

I'd just let them give birth in the tank, and do a "survival of the fittest". Sounds cruel, I know...but it helps control fry. :)

well, the fry should proably be strong, from being from the same line.
Not at all. They will be more inbred, and more likely to have deformities. After all, all the weak Guppies you see today are very inbred...so inbreeding them more won't help.

Don't worry, colombian nica, it happens to all of us, nothing you can do. :)

Okay. Well, it's up to you whom to listen to.

Inbreeding causes all kinds of problems. Some things developed from inbreeding are higher risk of pregnant fish mis-carrying or having birth defects/deformities in fry, lowered immune system, and a higher chance of having higher death rates in fry- many people have complained for example, Fancy guppys having really bad immune systems and this is due to the large levels of inbreeding the species of guppy has been put through. Also, you see bent spines a lot, which makes it miserable for the fish, usually.

It's just not a good idea. Of course, some breeders do have to inbreed to get certain colors...but it's not recommended at all to TRY to breed brothers and sisters unless you have a certain goal...However, in colombian nica's case, it was an accident. Don't worry too much about it. :)

thanx for the info... i didn't kno that they would start 2 reproduce so fast there only like 3 mnths old! i have fancy guppys those r the ones that this hole problem is about lol
Thanx soooo much for the info..... i think ur rite they will have some disformality.... thanx again

You're very welcome. :)

Yes, Guppies are little breeding machines! Try to seperate any girls and boys you can see....and remember, some males are late developing, so check the female tank often, as they will look like girls up until the last minute. Fancy Guppies are unfortunatly the most inbred Guppies you'll find...so I would not expect you to have very hardy fry, or parents, for that matter. If they die, don't worry...msot likely it's not you, just their bad immune systems. Just keep up with the water changes. :D
