My husband bought Corydoras, kuhli loaches, and red tail sharks, and i am not sure which one ate those hundreds of snails out of my tank but after a couple weeks the snails were gone.

Very interesting. I figured it must be so, if people are buying and selling them. Would breeding snails like rapidly expanding red ramhorns work?

Think basic economics of supply and demand...anyone could produce literally thousands of snails. Then you'd have to grow them up to a size and standard that people would want to pay good money for and you'd still have hundreds, if not thousands, to dispose of.

One note of caution with all of the feeding snails to fish ideas...
Snails are vectors for a whole load of unpleasant fish parasites.

Ew…..Never considered them as a food choice for my guys. I didn’t even like trying worms on my axies. Have a big 5 pd bucket of axie pellets in the freezer. Heard of people feeding them minnows . I‘d find that disturbing.
