hey...i just wanted to know if its possible to grow a new banana lily plant from an existing one, and how do you go about doing this??? I heard that you let the liliy shoot to the surface then you cut the stem leaving about 5cm of stem attached to the floating lily. After a while roots start to grow. Is this true, and if it is, do the roots start to show characteristics of a new banana plant that could be replanted. Thanks for any replies.

best way is to wait till the shoots arrive at the water surface and open leaves
cut the stem about 5cm below the leaf and let it float around on the surface of the tank.
once it grows roots replant it elsewhere
