How To Make A Carpet?

What is the easiest way to make some kind of carpet? I was thinking of getting some mesh and using moss as I assume this would be much easier than any form of plants? If so what type of moss would be best for this?

If anyone has any pictures I would appreciate it!

If you let us know your tank size, lighting, filter, any ferts or carbon you dose we can give you a good idea, I always think a good option is riccia on mesh as it will grow in most conditions

And grow quickly too.

Tank is 5ft (500L)ish
2 x 54w T5's
Filter is: All Pond Solutions 2000 and a Fluval 204

Not been using carbon as I was told it wont work on this tank size, not to mention the cost. I have just ordered the Ei Starter Kit from aquariumplantfood.co.uk so will be using that when it comes.

you could try hc or dwarf hairgrass apparently hc is harder im currently having trouble with the hairgrass... i think them 2 plants are at an advantage because you dont need to reattach them? unlike moss (i think i read that somewhere)
