Hello! I have a colony of about 9-10 rasboras, and I'm wondering how I can breed them!
any tips or suggestions?
Thanks

Have them in a tank that is 2 foot long or bigger.
Have soft water with a GH as close to 0ppm as possible and a pH a bit below 7.0
Have the temperature around 24-26C
Feed the fish 3-5 times a day with a variety of food.
Do big regular water changes and gravel clean the substrate.

The fish will lay eggs on plants when they are ready.

If you can separate males and females for 4-5 days and then put them together, that can get them going too.

I have had them for a while and they even attempted to breed, but unless you have a densely planted tank, they will always eat it before the egg even reaches anything. It would be better to choose a pair and move to a 6 liter breeding tank with a bottom grate and some plant leaves and take the pair away asap
